Certified Medical Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Receives, triages, and addresses incoming requests from providers, partner programs, pharmacies, insurance plans, support staff, patients, and others through various channels, including inbound calls and electronic messages related to patient care.

• Under the guidance of a clinician, assists with virtual care tasks such as collecting/documenting medical history, processing medication refills, communicating test results, and providing patient education, among others.

• Aids in managing referrals, answering pharmacy inquiries, administering the patient portal, and authorizing services, equipment, and medications.

• Handles incoming calls and directs all correspondence to the appropriate personnel.

• Assists patients and team members in utilizing video visit technology and ensures timely connections between patients and clinicians.

• Adheres to all privacy policies and safeguards the confidentiality of protected health information.

• Performs various administrative and operational duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Certified Medical Assistant**

• Shows a strong understanding of medical/legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with all relevant guidelines, including HIPAA.

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and have the capability to assess data relevant to the age-specific needs of patients.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.

• At least 1 year of experience in telehealth is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in a managerial or lead CMA role is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is essential.
