Centralized Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Answer calls from providers, patients, clinics, or other hospitals to arrange procedure tests, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills through oral, written, and visual communications.

• Organize and schedule procedures and tests for all patient types, coordinating various resources such as providers, rooms, and equipment, while providing prep, pre-procedure, and post-procedure instructions with an average talk time of less than 2.5 minutes.

• Ensure proper clinical sequencing of multiple tests across the facility and service areas.

• Review orders to confirm they meet the appropriate order criteria.

• Establish a new account number with necessary information, including diagnosis, indications, minimal history, admitting/ordering/primary care physician, and document referral and pre-certification numbers for various health insurance plans. Inquire and record patient conditions based on various clinical screening questions (e.g., MRI).

• Identify the correct medical record number and accurately document patient information (social security number, date of birth, etc.) to maintain an accurate Master Person Index.

• Inform security when an incarcerated patient is scheduled for an appointment.

• Purchase office supplies for departmental use.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma - Required

• 1 Year - Experience in Admissions or ancillary service department - Required

• Typing skills with a minimum of 35 words per minute - Required

• Clinical experience - Preferred

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State Licensure - Preferred Upon Hire

• Ability to travel to off-site locations may be necessary - Required
