Central Services Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Prepares instruments, equipment, and supplies while adhering to sterile technique principles using technical expertise.

• Ensures proper care and handling of instruments.

• Supports the clinical staff by providing assistive and advocacy services in patient care.

• Complies with policies, protocols, techniques, and manufacturer guidelines during the reprocessing, assembly, and maintenance of specialized instruments and equipment used in the operating room and patient care areas.

• Records necessary information and maintains documentation for instruments and equipment.

• Engages in ongoing education and training in all aspects of sterile processing.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience or completion of the REOC Sterile Processing Training Program is necessary.

• Effective communication skills are required.

• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions is essential.

• Candidates hired on or after January 1, 2014, must successfully pass a nationally accredited central service exam.
