This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Prepares instruments, equipment, and supplies while adhering to sterile technique principles using technical expertise.
β’ Ensures proper care and handling of instruments.
β’ Supports the clinical staff by providing assistive and advocacy services in patient care.
β’ Complies with policies, protocols, techniques, and manufacturer guidelines during the reprocessing, assembly, and maintenance of specialized instruments and equipment used in the operating room and patient care areas.
β’ Records necessary information and maintains documentation for instruments and equipment.
β’ Engages in ongoing education and training in all aspects of sterile processing.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent is required.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of experience or completion of the REOC Sterile Processing Training Program is necessary.
β’ Effective communication skills are required.
β’ Ability to understand verbal and written instructions is essential.
β’ Candidates hired on or after January 1, 2014, must successfully pass a nationally accredited central service exam.
