This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct thorough follow-up and reporting on denials with a comprehensive understanding of claims.
• Generate reports to identify trends and offer guidance on accounts through team training.
• Analyze denial CARC codes and present denials with a focus on educational improvement.
• Provide training to both new and existing team members on the processes for denial follow-up.
• Facilitate issue resolution by directing matters to the appropriate subject matter experts.
• Elevate issues to supervisors, seeking information or taking necessary actions for resolution.
• Execute a variety of tasks across changing responsibilities efficiently.
• Relay issues to management promptly.
• Collaborate with various organizational departments to ensure proper management of patient accounts.
• Resubmit corrected claims along with necessary supporting documentation.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by direct supervisors.
• High School Diploma/GED or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
• Over 3 years of experience in medical specialty billing.
• Strong understanding of claims, including Clean Claims, UB 04 Format, and 1500 Format.
• Proficient in understanding 835 Remittances.
• Working knowledge of CARC Codes.
• Capability to create training documentation and deliver presentations effectively.
• Experience in professional client engagement.
• Ability to interpret and apply reimbursement components of managed healthcare contracts.
• Effective and efficient problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated to enhance knowledge of processes and denial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in group settings with professional leadership communication.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
