This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Inspire and engage high school students about careers in skilled trades.
• Set up the custom, double-expandable trailer.
• Operate the various interactive stations and simulators located on the trailer.
• Travel throughout the state, generally from Monday to Friday.
• Collaborate with a Brand Ambassador to execute the day's event and prepare for the next day's activities.
• Ensure that the event trailer and all interactive exhibits and simulators are clean, functional, and safe.
• Assist students with the interactive elements of the trailer, accommodating approximately 25-30 students per class.
• Dismantle the trailer and pack up exhibits at the conclusion of each event.
• Coordinate with your point of contact at each school or event site to properly plan the day's activities.
• Comprehensive training will be provided, covering safe operation of the event trailer, use of all onboard simulators and technology, talking points, ELDs, and more.
• Must be a resident of Arkansas.
• Currently residing in Arkansas.
• Possess an Arkansas Class A driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for working with high school-aged students (being "young at heart" is a plus, regardless of your age).
• Ability to engage and generate excitement about careers in various skilled trades.
• A valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving record and a valid DOT Medical Certificate is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience with 53ft trailers.
• Some schools and/or school systems may require you to consent to a background check before arriving on-site.
• Clean criminal and motor vehicle history (as you will be working with young people on school property).
• Experience in moving and setting up custom expandable event trailers is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with public speaking in front of small groups and working with individuals.
• Strong client service skills and a commitment to helping our clients achieve their objectives.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technology issues with support from SPEVCO’s experts.
• Capacity to self-manage and work independently as well as part of a team for extended periods.
• Proficient in computer skills – able to use a tablet computer (Android-based), email, MS Suite, various web-based applications, ELDs, etc.
• Willingness to maintain a "show-ready" clean vehicle and exhibit.
• Strong safety mindset and a desire to be part of and promote our safety culture.
• Must be an exceptionally safe driver on the road.
