This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize specialized clinical expertise related to hospital partners: categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.
• Ensure the accurate submission of all data in designated registries or measure data repositories, upholding a high standard of precision.
• Organize, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines for multiple simultaneous tasks and team requests; employ tact and judgment to manage expectations, identify obstacles, and propose timely solutions.
• Navigate new technical systems: electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools; leverage team resources to resolve technical issues with systems and applications, focusing on solutions.
• Contribute to the development of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and other business rule documents; identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance task efficiency.
• Stay informed on mandated regulatory/publicly reported data requirements as dictated by federal, state, payer, and other agencies.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Direct abstraction experience in the CathPCI registry through the ACC/NCDR.
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to systematically approach problems.
• Uphold high standards for accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Exhibit technical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Excel in working independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.
• Communicate consistently and clearly, adapting style and tone as necessary.
• Demonstrate strong self-organization and time management abilities to manage multiple accounts concurrently.
• Ability to adjust to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments.
• Maintain a high level of responsibility for safeguarding PHI and ensuring confidentiality.
