This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee the categorization of assigned expenditures into sub-commodity groups to create strategies that drive operational excellence.
• Formulate a comprehensive commodity strategy aimed at fulfilling organizational objectives by enhancing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while ensuring supply continuity through the identification and mitigation of current and potential risks and opportunities as outlined in the commodity playbook.
• Spearhead the implementation of the commodity strategy utilizing a preferred supplier list (PSL).
• Analyze data from Power BI and other analytical tools to derive insights regarding the factors influencing assigned commodities and their potential impacts on spending and cost forecasts to leverage with our supply partners.
• Conduct regular supplier relationship management (SRM) business reviews with key strategic suppliers alongside teams and senior management.
• Develop presentations for supplier relationship management reviews, commodity playbooks, risk mitigation strategies, 4-Blockers, and supplier/commodity gap assessments.
• Formulate a plan to achieve annual results against metrics such as payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity, inflation, and other metrics as specified by Procurement Leadership.
• Investigate, monitor, and disseminate information on industry trends, best practices, relevant indices, and competitive offerings to pinpoint opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and enhanced overall productivity.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in sectors involving complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement.
• At least 3 years of experience in negotiations, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and contract development.
• Proficiency in vendor management, including the issuance, execution, and administration of purchase orders.
• Familiarity with Project ERP systems (such as SAP or Ariba) or similar systems within a global organization.
