Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute category strategies that align with the company’s objectives.

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFI, RFP, and negotiation processes.

• Identify and assess potential new suppliers.

• Collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance teams.

• Monitor commodity markets and technological advancements to pinpoint risks and opportunities.

• Drive cost reduction initiatives within designated categories.

• Ensure adherence to purchasing policies.

• Resolve complex supply chain challenges.

• Prepare and deliver category performance reports.

• Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive category strategies.

• Proficient in market analysis and spend analysis.

• Experience in leading strategic sourcing activities.

• Skills in identifying, evaluating, and qualifying new suppliers.

• Ability to build strong relationships and manage supplier performance.

• Knowledge of monitoring commodity markets and supply chain trends.

• Proven track record in driving cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects.

• Commitment to ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.

• Experience in managing contracts and service level agreements.

• Ability to prepare and present category performance reports.
