This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Proactively cultivate collaborative relationships with Albertsons, establishing trust as a reliable source for category insights.
• Provide active guidance to retailer partners regarding opportunities focused on categories and shopper needs.
• Assist in formulating both strategic and tactical recommendations related to Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMP).
• Develop multi-year category growth strategies that align with Albertsons' business goals.
• Identify opportunities for category expansion and offer actionable suggestions.
• Conduct analyses on shopper segmentation, basket behavior, and purchasing patterns.
• Lead thorough planogram insights and assortment evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Albertsons merchandising team for the placement of new items and SKU rationalization.
• Maintain close alignment with the Campbell Snacks Albertsons Sales team for coordinated business planning.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in CPG sales, category management, or data analytics.
• Preferred experience working directly with Albertsons or a similar top 10 retailer.
• Proficiency in syndicated data platforms such as Circana (IRI) and/or Nielsen/NielsenIQ.
• Experience with loyalty card data platforms (e.g., EYC, Albertsons Media Collective).
• Practical knowledge of space management/POG software (JDA/Blue Yonder, Apollo, ProSpace, or equivalent).
• Capability to synthesize various data sources to create clear and concise category narratives and selling presentations.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
