This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Investigate, assess, and resolve claims by utilizing technical expertise and interpersonal skills to facilitate fair and timely claim settlements.

• Adjust reserves and offer reserve recommendations to ensure that reserving activities align with company policies.

• Input claim transactions clearly and concisely.

• Review claims evaluated by independent adjusters, including further investigation of questionable claims, coverage verification, and timely payment issuance to policyholders.

• Conduct daily reviews of claim diaries to guarantee that status letters are dispatched to policyholders in compliance with Department of Insurance regulations.

• Process and pay claims within the designated authority level.

• Oversee independent adjusters to ensure compliance with CFP IA Guidelines.

• Ensure adherence to Department of Insurance and company policies and procedures.

• Generate accurate and complete correspondence to policyholders. Communicate with insureds and/or other parties to obtain any missing information.

• Negotiate settlements swiftly, ensuring that they accurately reflect the actual insured losses while safeguarding the insurer against invalid claims.

• Collaborate with Claims Management and legal counsel on claims that involve litigation.

• Requires up to 25% travel, limited to periods of catastrophic events.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient experience with MS-Office (particularly Word and Excel) is necessary.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in property claims along with outstanding customer service skills.

• Certification in CEA and Fair Claims Settlement Practices is required.
