Casualty Claims Quality Assurance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhancing the quality and uniformity of casualty claims management throughout the organization

• Collaborating closely with Casualty, Complex, and Specialty teams to assess claim files

• Analyzing performance against industry best practices and key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Discovering opportunities to enhance results through targeted audits and comprehensive claims evaluations

• Compiling and presenting audit reports, summaries, and presentations

• Suggesting process enhancements and identifying future areas of audit focus

• Assisting in the implementation of new audit processes and initiatives for continuous improvement

• Working alongside leadership to develop audit standards and assist in training efforts

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

• Minimum of eight years in commercial lines casualty claims management, including experience with litigated claims or similar experience

• Previous audit experience is preferred

• Insurance industry certifications (e.g., INS, AIC, CPCU) are preferred

• Deep understanding of the casualty claims function

• Strong comprehension of casualty claims handling procedures, principles, standards, and best practices

• In-depth knowledge of medical and legal terminology, as well as legal aspects of court procedures impacting liability

• Capability to audit claim files for consistency

• Strong skills in fact-gathering, analyzing alternatives, and recommending solutions

• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills

• Proficient in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines
