Cash Application Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately and promptly post payments from a variety of sources, including clients, insurance companies, and patients.

• Work collaboratively with the accounting team to ensure batches are posted correctly and all unapplied cash is properly accounted for.

• Monitor daily cash sheets and maintain records of ACH transaction details, check copies, and payment advice.

• Ensure precise account reconciliation to achieve balance at the end of each month.

• Gather addenda information from Bank of America and obtain payment advice from clients and payors.

• Efficiently post and manage ERA files while being able to interpret Explanation of Benefits.

• Regularly coordinate with the accounting team to ensure monthly financial balancing and promptly address any discrepancies.

• Assist in the development and implementation of processes that enhance and streamline financial procedures.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Associate Director of Billing and the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle and Optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• At least 2-3 years of experience in revenue cycle management.

• Proficient in interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB), posting ERA payments, and manual posting.

• Experience in processing credit card transactions.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively reconcile payments and batches.

• Proven experience as a Cash Application Specialist.
