This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Prepares, organizes, and maintains precise and up-to-date information in various electronic databases that reflect the complete history of program participants, including a log of supportive services provided.
• Delivers case management focused on assisting SNAP E&T participants in preparing for employment that fosters self-sufficiency.
• Manages an active caseload, aiding job seekers in retaining employment based on their skills, capabilities, and interests.
• Oversees job seeker progress towards achieving their goals by crafting and updating personalized plans.
• Schedules and facilitates workshops, webinars, and other Job Readiness activities aimed at preparing SNAP E&T participants for career opportunities.
• Collaborates with the Business Services team on online learning activities related to individual employment plans and goals, while monitoring participants' progress.
• Administers Pre/Post-test assessments.
• Conducts assessments of skills, aptitudes, and abilities.
• Researches, identifies, and provides appropriate job coaching, mentorship, and support services as necessary to help SNAP E&T participants overcome obstacles.
• Ensures thorough preparation for all training activities.
• Interprets employer feedback to customize case management and job coaching as required.
• Collaborates with the Business Services team to engage with local businesses, advisory groups, and agencies to promote the growth of opportunities.
• Investigates and shares insights regarding post-secondary options and adult services, networking with relevant community agencies and organizations.
• Builds rapport with SNAP E&T participants to collectively explore career options and interests.
• Encourages SNAP E&T participants to maintain career portfolios that document their learning and skill acquisition.
• Works with SNAP E&T participants, either individually or in groups, to address employment-related challenges.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• An Associate’s degree in a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience (Social Services, Human Resources, Communication, Business, or equivalent).
• A High School Diploma or equivalent with three years of related experience may also be considered.
• Proficient in facilitation, public speaking, and guided learning.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Capability to lead learning processes and connect with diverse populations.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources and local industries is advantageous.
• Exceptional computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, and specialized databases and systems.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus.
• A current valid driver’s license (with a low-risk driver rating) and automobile liability insurance are required.
