This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +4 more states.
β’ Reach out to insurance providers to gather accurate eligibility details
β’ Conduct benefit investigations and assist with copay support
β’ Verify prior authorization and/or appeal statuses
β’ Communicate with patients and/or healthcare providers to assess eligibility for support programs and adherence assistance
β’ Make outbound calls to collect necessary information and ensure accurate documentation
β’ Handle incoming calls and provide assistance to customers regarding pharmacy services
β’ Maintain a professional, efficient, courteous, and friendly manner in all communications
β’ Offer support for prior authorizations and appeals
β’ Aid patients in enrolling in both manufacturer and non-profit copay assistance programs
β’ Enhance job knowledge through educational initiatives and training sessions
β’ Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve objectives
β’ Ensure quality outcomes by following established standards, guidelines, and program KPIs
β’ Report Adverse Drug Events (ADEs) in accordance with program policies and guidelines
β’ Comply with HIPAA regulations
β’ May assist in the onboarding process for new employees
β’ High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
β’ At least one year of experience in medical billing, reimbursement, insurance verification, or a related medical office role
β’ Prior data entry experience of a minimum of three months
β’ Capability to type at a speed of 30 words per minute or more
β’ Strong attention to detail
β’ Proficient with computers, including the ability to navigate multiple tabs, monitors, and applications
β’ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and soft phone systems (WebEx, Mitel, Shoretel, etc.)
β’ Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
β’ Capacity to work effectively in a virtual team setting and remain available and responsive during designated hours
β’ Excellent follow-through skills
β’ A private, distraction-free workspace to ensure adherence to HIPAA compliance/guidelines
β’ Workspace must have internet plug-in capability; Wi-Fi access is not allowed
β’ Must reside in the country where the position is advertised
