Care Coordinator – Financial Assistance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Secure financial support for patients

• Manage pharmacy claims processing

• Enhance the patient experience by responding to inquiries and requests via phone

• Serve as a liaison among the patient, their healthcare provider, and the pharmacist

• Collaborate closely with specialty care clinics and the House Rx team to enhance the specialty pharmacy experience for patients and their caregivers

• Assist in developing workflows and processes from the ground up

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in helping patients access financial assistance programs, including manufacturer copay cards, patient assistance programs (PAPs), and foundation grants, to alleviate out-of-pocket expenses for specialty medications

• Comfortable interacting with patients, providers, and all members of the care team both in-person and via phone

• Experience in navigating specialty medication benefits investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance

• Enthusiastic about working in a start-up environment and contributing to the development of workflows and processes from the ground up

• Proficient in commonly used pharmacy software systems such as QS1, ComputerRx, PioneerRx, and WAM

• Experience with EMR systems like EPIC, Cerner, and NextGen is a plus

• Familiarity with specialty pharmacy systems such as Therigy, Asembia1, and ScriptMed is an advantage

• Understanding of specialty medications, particularly those used in autoimmune, endocrinology, and oncology treatments

• Pharmacy technician, licensed practical nurse, or similar credentials as required by the applicable state

• Technician registration or licensure in the state of employment

• National certification as CPhT is preferred
