Care Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage appointment scheduling along with notifications, reminders, and troubleshooting tasks.

• Handle incoming and outgoing calls with patients, provider offices, insurance companies, labs, and other parties involved in patient care.

• Prepare, organize, submit, and oversee care documentation using electronic medical records and internal tools.

• Offer proactive support to clinicians by providing timely responses and maintaining high attention to detail.

• Assist patients through compassionate communication, smooth transitions, and streamlined processes.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.

• Work collaboratively with the team to enhance the patient experience.

• Follow up and ensure completion of assigned tasks.

• Carry out additional duties as required.

• Provide constructive feedback, assess the care model critically, and assist in promoting continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare-related patient service role that requires the use of multiple software systems.

• Proficient in electronic medical records, word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to manage uncertainty.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to excel in a virtual work environment.

• Familiarity with medical record management, medical terminology, and healthcare billing practices.

• Effective time management and prioritization skills.

• Preferred: Experience with the Athena platform.

• Preferred: Background in medical billing submission, clarification, and troubleshooting.

• Preferred: Experience working alongside engineering and product teams.

• Preferred: Knowledge of specialist referral processes, insurance authorization, and documentation requirements.

• Preferred: Multi-lingual capabilities.
