This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Assist in addressing patient/member concerns while providing clinical education and guidance.
• Ensure patient/member satisfaction by delivering high-quality clinical support.
• Educate and support patients/members through motivational interviewing, problem-solving, interpreting complex clinical issues, researching information, contacting providers, and sharing relevant information.
• Aid patients/members in tackling social determinants of health, special needs, and crisis situations.
• Identify primary and secondary resources, discuss options, and assist patients/members in determining a course of action.
• Advocate for patients/members who are incapacitated or unable to effectively communicate with service delivery systems.
• Act as the main contact for the Enhanced Member Supports Unit, Behavioral Health, and the network for patients/members/providers.
• Evaluate clinical issues and concerns, providing accurate information in a timely manner.
• Manage crisis situations and triage them appropriately.
• Resolve patient/member/provider concerns and inquiries completely.
• Offer daily support and guidance to patient/member/provider services staff.
• Collect caller-needs data for monthly statistical and activity reports.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues effectively.
• Gather and document data on special-needs organizations, facilities, and services.
• Prepare, generate, and distribute written communications to patients and members.
• Provide training to the team as necessary.
• Investigate covered benefits and community resources based on line of business and product design.
• Supply team-building resources and guide peers to the relevant policies and procedures.
• Make outbound calls to address complex eligibility issues.
• Navigate multiple computer programs while assisting patients/members/providers.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study (Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Public Health, Human Services, or a related healthcare/behavioral health field).
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Must reside in Pennsylvania.
• Availability for 40 scheduled hours weekly, from 8:30 am to 5 pm during the day shift.
• Not eligible for J-1 waiver.
