Care Coach – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engages with Charlie Health clients through secure platforms for 1:1 peer discussions, ensuring alignment with their treatment goals and participation in programming.

• Implements skill-based interventions to stabilize clients during periods of increased stress.

• Conducts risk assessments and safety planning, escalating to crisis clinicians as necessary.

• Serves as a resource during programming to sustain client engagement throughout their treatment journey.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in the final year) in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related social/mental health field and/or relevant certifications (Certified Peer Specialist - nationally or state accredited).

• Preference for candidates who are second-year Master's students.

• Prior experience working with young adults and adolescents in both individual and group settings is highly desirable (Inpatient, IOP, PHP, or RTC).

• Preferred: Over 1 year of experience as a mental health peer support, mentor, skills trainer, or mental health associate.

• Specific to Applicants in VA:

• Must possess Virginia PRS or FSP certification and registration.

• Advocate for clients' needs, ensuring that individualized goals are accomplished in line with their assessment and treatment plans.

• Must have direct and lived experience with mental health or substance use disorders, which may include parenting a child/youth with these experiences.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of professional board standards concerning client treatment, rights, and confidentiality.

• Must be eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a vital role in supporting patient treatment success.

• This is a W2 part-time position.

• Minimum availability of 10 hours per week is required, with a commitment to work at least 3 days a week in 3-3.5 hour shifts each day.

• Care Coaches should be available during the following time frames:

• Monday - Thursday from 10am-10pm MT

• Friday from 3-8pm MT

• Saturday from 7-2pm MT or 3-9pm MT

• Rotating Fridays and Saturdays are mandatory.

• Preference for candidates who can meet both availability requirements.

• Must maintain a minimum of 10 hours of availability, with the potential for up to 28 hours weekly. Availability aligned with hiring needs must be sustained throughout employment.

• Access to reliable WiFi is necessary for remote and confidential work.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States and possess native or bilingual proficiency in English.

• Proficiency in cloud-based communication and software such as Slack, Dropbox, Gmail, Zoom, Google Drive, and EMR is required.

• Competency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel or Google Sheets.
