This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Assist in the comprehensive delivery of carbon footprint assessments and climate reporting disclosures in accordance with industry benchmarks.
• Guide clients through technical discussions, GHG emission calculations, and related reporting across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
• Offer advice on preparing for and reporting to both mandatory and voluntary frameworks such as CDP, Ecovadis, SBTi, and Microsoft.
• Provide additional cross-functional assistance in product development, customer success, and business development as required.
• Experience with FLAG-related emissions calculations in line with GHG Protocol Land Sector Guidance & SBTi FLAG Guidance.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in GHG emissions accounting.
• A strong drive and enthusiasm for carbon accounting and sustainability efforts.
• Proficient internal and external communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to calculate and report Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions with minimal guidance.
• Exceptional mathematical skills and the capability to work with data presented in various formats.
• Understanding of reporting frameworks related to carbon accounting, including CDP, SBTi, Ecovadis, etc.
• Familiarity with carbon accounting standards such as ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and the skill to convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
• Capacity to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• High proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Approximately 6-month contract position with a weekly rate ranging from ~$1,000 to $1,700 based on experience.
