Capital Markets Associate, Structured Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Concentrate on the creation and implementation of Excel financial models to facilitate Tax Equity and Debt capital funding.

• Oversee the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes in collaboration with external stakeholders.

• Accountable for reporting related to Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders, while working alongside technology teams to ensure report automation.

• Leverage expertise to refine existing processes and workflows for enhanced efficiency, collaborating closely with teams such as Data Analytics and Operations.

• Act as a liaison with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure cooperation and transparency regarding all aspects of Palmetto Finance.

• Develop and sustain robust relationships with key banks and other vital external partners.

• Possess a keen awareness of customer needs and requirements, with the ability to anticipate their needs and offer customized solutions to achieve their goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

• 3-5+ years of experience in banking or capital markets; experience in the solar industry and structured finance is highly preferred.

• Strong business acumen and analytical abilities with a comprehensive understanding of the macroeconomic landscape.

• Proactively seeks opportunities for improvement across systems and processes, implements solutions, and updates them accordingly.

• Highly driven and capable of thriving in a dynamic, customer-focused environment where priorities can shift rapidly.

• Collaborates effectively with internal teams in Finance & Accounting, Technology, etc.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); capable of presenting to diverse audiences and leadership teams.
