📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, refraining from adding, omitting, or substituting information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during the interpretation process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate enthusiasm in obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Cantonese/Mandarin."

• Over one year of telephone interpretation experience in a reputable interpretation company is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, though not required.

• Awareness of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
