Campaign Coordinator – Thai, Korean, Arabic, Japanese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and organize a media strategy for campaign protests, issue press releases to the media, and undertake other essential tasks to promote campaigns in your native language.

• Develop or assist in creating print graphics, advertisements, and videos from initial concept to final production for sharing across the organization’s social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) in your native language.

• Contribute to the creation of marketing strategies tailored to your region aimed at engaging audiences for various celebrity campaigns, video launches, and investigations.

• Inspire and facilitate activism within your region by engaging with activists and motivating them to take action for animal welfare.

• Consistently update and manage a database of media contacts in your area.

• Assist in organizing street theater-style protests in your region as necessary.

• Prepare, translate, and manage press releases for distribution to local media outlets.

• Serve as a spokesperson for PETA Asia by participating in interviews with local and national television stations, radio shows, newspapers, and magazines.

• Manage the organization’s social media accounts in your language and keep abreast of social media trends to effectively leverage them.

• Engage with comments on social media platforms.

• Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

• A foundational understanding of how Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter operate.

• Strong creative abilities and proficiency in digital technology.

• Awareness of animal rights issues relevant to your region.

• Basic experience in video editing, including the ability to compile raw footage into a polished final product, is advantageous.

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

• Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and your native language.

• Some experience collaborating with media outlets and familiarity with outreach strategies is preferred.

• Commitment to a vegan lifestyle.

• A supportive stance toward PETA’s philosophy and the capacity to champion the organization’s positions on various issues in a professional manner.

• Must reside in an Asian time zone to work effectively with the team.
