
Call Center Representative – Medicaid Member Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Respond to inquiries from South Carolina Medicaid members in a call center setting, utilizing standard scripts and procedures.
• Collect information, evaluate caller needs, investigate and resolve inquiries, and document calls effectively.
• Provide details regarding member eligibility.
• Assist callers in completing Medicaid applications and offer updates on application status.
• Adhere to documented policies and procedures, including call management and escalations.
• Advocate for Medicaid members to ensure their needs are appropriately addressed.
• Navigate through multiple computer screens and retrieve information from various applications.
• Utilize five systems to gather information and document in up to three different systems.
• Deliver exceptional service support while achieving performance goals.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment screening.
• Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship.
• Must successfully complete the Call Center – Service Skills Assessment and Internet Speed test.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center or telephone customer service is required.
• Must possess computer literacy and the ability to use multiple programs while navigating various screens.
• Comfortable working within established processes and procedures.
• Customer service or call center experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are preferred.
• Experience in handling escalated customer concerns and complex issues is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively is preferred.
• Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and maintaining accurate documentation is preferred.
• One year of experience in medical insurance or a medical office is preferred.
• Experience with data entry and database documentation in computer systems is preferred.
• Prior call center or customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience in handling inbound customer support calls is preferred.
