CAD Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive design drawings and specifications for radon mitigation systems, incorporating mechanical components, piping layouts, fan placements, and control systems.

• Produce schematic, orthographic, and isometric views to depict system components and airflow pathways.

• Modify designs to accommodate site-specific conditions, enhance system performance, and simplify installation processes.

• Analyze site surveys, architectural plans, and environmental data to guide system design.

• Work collaboratively with field technicians, project managers, and environmental consultants to ensure that designs are practical and meet compliance standards.

• Engage in the preparation of preliminary reports and initial communications with clients.

• Attend client meetings to discuss system schematics and address design-related inquiries.

• Develop technical illustrations and documentation for installation guides and training materials.

• Create bills of materials (BOMs) for procurement and project management purposes.

• Ensure all designs adhere to applicable radon mitigation standards and local building regulations.

• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and adept at working with technical drawings and schematics.

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, airflow dynamics, and principles of system layout.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

• Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently and meeting deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for cross-functional collaboration.

• Familiarity with environmental health standards and building codes is a plus, but not mandatory.
