C & C++ Embedded Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain high-quality embedded software using C and C++ for camera-based security devices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate software, hardware, and network connectivity challenges throughout the software stack.

• Innovate new features and enhance existing codebases for the product line.

• Enhance software performance for resource-limited embedded environments.

• Conduct code reviews and offer technical guidance to team members.

• Engage in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes.

• Work alongside QA teams to formulate comprehensive testing strategies.

• Record software designs, APIs, libraries, and troubleshooting methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in embedded development, with proficiency in C and C++ (C++17 standard) and extensive knowledge of RTOS and microcontroller architectures (ARM, RISC-V).

• Skilled in the entire SDLC, including professional engineering practices such as Git, CMake, code reviews, and continuous integration.

• Strong grasp of network programming and experience with multithreading on multicore microcontrollers.

• Proficient in communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, and Wi-Fi) and experienced in writing device drivers and libraries.

• Capable of working independently and taking ownership of complex projects.

• Exceptional communication skills for technical discussions and documentation, with a collaborative approach in cross-functional team settings.

• At least an Upper-Intermediate level in both written and spoken English (B2).

• Practical experience with hardware troubleshooting and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) and cross-compilation tool chains.
