This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings through alternative products and suppliers.
• Conduct research and source new products as requested by affiliated practices.
• Manage the ordering process for dental and laboratory supplies and equipment, particularly dental implants and associated products.
• Forward implant-related inquiries to the Clinical Implants team.
• Monitor and expedite the status of existing orders.
• Address and resolve discrepancies in invoices.
• Assess and approve orders based on demand, order volume, and purchasing history.
• Provide guidance on order quantities and inventory levels to manage supply costs effectively.
• Assist in product returns for vendor credit.
• Support the Equipment Service Coordinator by managing service requests, communicating requirements to service providers, and coordinating technician arrival schedules.
• Collect and report affiliate requests and inquiries to analyze trends, staffing requirements, and customer satisfaction levels.
• Assist with additional procurement and supply chain functions as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or a business degree with a focus on supply chain management is preferred.
• Alternatively, an Associate degree in Dental Support Services (Hygienist, Dental Assistant, Laboratory Technician) is acceptable.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Previous experience in the dental sector or a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) is strongly preferred.
• Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Committed to diligent follow-up to ensure timely handling of requests and delivery of orders.
• Proactive in resolving issues related to delays, backorders, discontinued items, and other challenges.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal stakeholders and a diverse supply network.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in facilitation and presentation techniques.
• Capable of managing sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
