This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily purchasing operations for robotic systems, components, and associated materials within a diverse supplier network.
• Generate and manage purchase orders in SAP, ensuring that pricing, quantities, delivery timelines, and documentation are precise.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and key suppliers to oversee order fulfillment, material availability, capacity, and delivery efficiency.
• Work alongside Planning, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Strategic Sourcing to synchronize supply needs with production and project demands.
• Assess supplier performance and maintain transparency regarding material status, shortages, delivery risks, and recovery strategies.
• Accelerate critical materials and urge suppliers to address delivery, quality, pricing, and capacity challenges.
• Assist in supplier negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and commercial discussions.
• Manage purchasing implications related to engineering modifications, demand fluctuations, and changing program specifications.
• Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve outstanding invoices in dual ERP systems.
• Identify supply chain risks and proactively escalate issues to facilitate resolution.
• Evaluate purchasing and supplier data to enhance cost efficiency, delivery performance, inventory management, and overall supplier effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related area.
• Familiarity with complex suppliers, contract manufacturers, or outsourced manufacturing partners.
• Solid understanding of ERP systems and purchase order management; SAP experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing material requirements, supplier delivery timelines, shortages, and order modifications.
• Strong skills in supplier management, negotiation, and relationship cultivation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Planning, Operations, Quality, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with robotics, electronics, electromechanical products, automation equipment, or other intricate manufactured goods is preferred.
• Up to 10% travel may be necessary.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to supplier, client, or other business locations as required.
