
Business Unit Sales Manager – Mining

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Accountable for driving the growth of Franklins Electrics’ mining division through strategic account development, technical sales leadership, and management of customer relationships across mining operations, contractors, distributors, and EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) firms.
• Concentrates on increasing market share within current mine sites while identifying new mining opportunities.
• Maintains and enhances existing mining and distribution customer accounts through appropriate levels of engagement.
• Generates sales growth by securing business across strategic customer segments.
• Cultivates relationships and finalizes sales with designated regional and national customer bases.
• Transforms non-customers into loyal customers.
• Keeps in touch with existing regional and national decision-makers to ensure their specifications remain aligned with Franklin Electric.
• Organizes and participates in regional tradeshows, state and regional exhibitions, and territory seminars.
• Engages in pricing discussions and purchasing contracts.
• Inputs contacts into the CRM software to monitor progress.
• Performs additional related duties as necessary or assigned.
• Develops and guides mining sales and service personnel within the assigned region, driving growth through strategic mine site engagement, customer relationship building, and operational support.
• Crafts short- and long-term forecasts, budgets, strategies, and marketing programs essential for achieving sales objectives.
• Engages independent representatives to meet sales targets as needed.
• Collaborates with product teams to design products aimed at increasing sales and profitability.
• Provides insights to product managers to address customer needs effectively.
• Works alongside the marketing team to ensure marketing materials such as collateral, packaging, catalogs, and online presence align with customer demand.
• Oversees supervisory and/or non-supervisory employees.
• Conducts interviews and training for employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; evaluates performance, rewards, and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves issues.
• Collaborates with Human Resources on employee-related matters.
• Engages external sales representatives to achieve sales goals as required and feasible.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, business management, marketing, engineering technology, or a related field is required.
• Seven to ten years of pertinent experience in sales, marketing, product management, or a related field is required.
• Current MSHA surface and underground certification is preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is required.
