
Business Systems Analyst – Lending Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Collaborate with lending business stakeholders to gather, assess, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Convert business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and data mappings.
• Serve as the main point of contact between business units and development teams throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.
• Evaluate lending systems and processes, such as loan origination, underwriting, and servicing, to uncover gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and integrations from the discovery phase through deployment and post-launch stabilization.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and encourage cross-functional discussions.
• Organize and support user acceptance testing, including test planning, defect triage, and resolution tracking.
• Ensure that solutions adhere to regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations pertinent to banking and lending.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in supporting lending within a banking context, encompassing loan origination systems, underwriting, and loan servicing platforms.
• Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process modeling.
• Ability to connect technical and business viewpoints and collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders.
• Openness to take direction and provide guidance when necessary.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and/or traditional waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, suited for both technical and executive audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a detail-oriented and structured approach.
• Experience in wealth management lending or related financial services fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of data analysis and querying, such as SQL, is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background investigation may be necessary.
• Ability to meet applicable U.S. employment and assignment requirements.
