This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions with business stakeholders, process owners, and end users.
• Document current-state processes, manual activities, approvals, handoffs, exceptions, system limitations, and pain points.
• Identify opportunities for process simplification, data quality improvement, work reduction, and automation.
• Define business challenges, desired outcomes, project scope, priorities, dependencies, constraints, and success criteria.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into both functional and non-functional specifications.
• Create process flows, use cases, user scenarios, business rules, acceptance criteria, storyboards, and solution documentation.
• Identify gaps in functionality between requirements and current or proposed systems.
• Document data prerequisites, systems of record, integration needs, migration requirements, user roles, security, reporting, KPIs, and operational necessities.
• Assess existing systems, internally developed solutions, Microsoft Power Platform, third-party applications, and other technologies.
• Coordinate RFPs, RFIs, vendor questionnaires, requirements matrices, demonstrations, and solution assessment activities.
• Compare potential solutions based on functionality, usability, integration, security, reporting, implementation requirements, cost, and business compatibility.
• Maintain documentation of requirements, decisions, assumptions, risks, and scope modifications throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Facilitate stakeholder review and approval processes for requirements.
• Develop business test scenarios, coordinate or assist with UAT, and validate delivered functionalities.
• Support implementation readiness, documentation, training, change management, and post-implementation process enhancements.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, technology vendors, technical teams, procurement stakeholders, and IT leadership.
• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role supporting technology implementations.
• Strong expertise in conducting stakeholder interviews, requirements discovery, and business process analysis.
• Ability to translate business needs into precise functional and system specifications.
• Experience in documenting workflows, use cases, business rules, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Background in evaluating business applications or participating in software/vendor selection processes.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, problem-solving, written communication, and documentation skills.
• Capability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, executives, and external vendors.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and requirements across various departments.
• Preferred: Experience with enterprise SaaS applications, system implementations, or digital transformation projects.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power BI, Power Automate, or related Microsoft technologies.
• Preferred: Knowledge of integrations, APIs, data modeling, role-based security, reporting, and workflow automation.
• Preferred: Experience supporting RFPs, vendor evaluations, product demonstrations, and technology selection.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, requirements traceability, UAT, and implementation processes.
• Preferred: Experience with Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar process modeling tools.
