This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Lead the gathering and prioritization of intricate business and technical requirements for both gradual enhancements and transformational change initiatives.
• Direct system analysis efforts, which include drafting functional and technical specifications.
• Collaborate on the design and architecture of systems, focusing on user interface design, prototyping, data modeling, and solution configuration techniques.
• Develop and sustain a thorough understanding of current processes, systems, and performance metrics within designated departments; proactively identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a trusted partner and strategic advisor to senior leaders in assigned departments, comprehending their organizational objectives and actively contributing to their operational initiatives.
• Monitor and assess the effects of process enhancements, automation, and IT solutions within finance operations.
• Ensure data integrity across financial systems, guaranteeing accurate data flow, integration, and adherence to accounting principles.
• Function as the functional product owner (Finance) and strategic advisor, collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging financial technologies to recommend best practices and innovative solutions.
• Supervise the documentation and continuous enhancement of complex business processes, ensuring that solutions meet stakeholder needs and align with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate training sessions with business partners to assist employees in the proper use of the systems.
• Contribute to project delivery by supporting project activities in defining scope, tracking milestones, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Identify and advocate for opportunities to optimize processes and systems, utilizing data-driven insights and industry best practices. Propel continuous improvement initiatives that yield measurable business results.
• Collaborate with IT and business leadership to shape and prioritize the organizational roadmap, ensuring that business analysis efforts align with strategic objectives and deliver maximum value.
• Provide consulting services to business partners to encourage innovation and identify new opportunities for maintaining a competitive advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
• A four-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of application systems and processes, including Salesforce, Zuora billing, Certinia, or other core financial applications.
• Understanding of key finance and accounting business processes, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and Collections.
• Experience in systems architecture, designing workflows, and writing technical specifications.
• Knowledge of agile best practices for requirements gathering and process mapping.
• A quick learner with an analytical growth mindset, curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
• Proactive and innovative.
• A mature presence and poise to engage with senior leadership.
• A collaborative team player with a positive outlook and attitude – company and team first.
• Nice to have:
• Prior consulting experience.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or PowerBI.
• IIBA or PMI-PBA certification.
