This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +16 more states.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business domain, processes, and specific requirements.
• Familiarize yourself with business objectives and processes, and their connection to systems and technology.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements for new features or products.
• Work alongside external third parties as necessary to define APIs, interfaces, business rules, and interaction processes with their solutions.
• Partner with development teams to ensure that requirements are clearly understood, testable, and that solutions align with business needs.
• Contribute to shaping the product vision and strategy by offering insights on market trends, competitive landscapes, customer feedback, and user research.
• Assist the technology product owner in managing the product backlog, crafting user stories, and establishing acceptance criteria.
• Develop prototypes and mockups to visualize proposed solutions effectively.
• Conduct usability tests to collect feedback on design concepts.
• Create comprehensive documentation to support the development and launch of new features.
• Track key metrics post-launch to identify areas for enhancement.
• Provide assistance with troubleshooting and root cause analysis when issues occur.
• Stay current with industry trends and share insights with team members.
• Actively seek out opportunities to enhance processes and tools.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to substantiate proposed system changes.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a business analyst or product owner, ideally on agile software development projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in the financial services, banking, or lending sectors.
• Proficiency in developing requirements.
• Experience in gathering and analyzing data stored in data warehouses.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and document business processes effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar management tools.
• Familiarity with Agile modeling techniques, including user stories, use cases, and activity diagrams.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, utilizing Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages.
