Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Gather, document, and verify business requirements and process flows related to revenue accounting and reporting.

• Convert requirements into a scalable configuration for Zuora Revenue.

• Offer solution alternatives, estimates, and delivery strategies while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Finance, Business Operations, and upstream system teams to guarantee accurate end-to-end data flow into Zuora Revenue.

• Utilize AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity and quality.

• Assist in designing and delivering integrations and data loads.

• Foster continuous improvement within the team.

• Develop and execute test scenarios (SIT/UAT).

• Provide daily operational support for Zuora Revenue.

• Create and uphold high-quality documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Functional Analyst in configuring and supporting Zuora Revenue or a similar revenue recognition system.

• Familiarity with revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606 / IFRS 15).

• Knowledge of Zuora Revenue configuration, including revenue rules and templates, SSP inputs, allocation logic, accounting setups, and reporting outputs.

• Practical experience in gathering requirements, drafting user stories/acceptance criteria, and translating them into Zuora Revenue configuration and/or detailed functional specifications.

• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools as part of daily tasks (e.g., Zuora’s AI/LLM capabilities and Microsoft Copilot).

• A proactive team-oriented mindset with the ability to manage time-sensitive, business-critical operational challenges.

• Strong analytical capabilities: comfortable working with data extracts, error reports, and reconciliations to identify issues and recommend solutions.

• Experience with upstream/downstream integrations and data feeds (e.g., Zuora Billing, Salesforce, SAP/GL).

• Testing experience throughout the delivery lifecycle (SIT/UAT).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
