Business Solutions Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate effectively with our Supply Chain Planning, Distribution, Customer Fulfillment, Performance Measurement, Operational Excellence, and Strategic Sourcing departments to define, develop, and implement business solutions that align with HMH’s objectives and key results.

• Create tailored solutions to address business challenges through an analytical/technical, data-driven methodology.

• Offer analytical and business intelligence solutions/services to facilitate decision-making, which includes the development of new metrics, KPIs, reporting, scorecards, etc.

• Utilize expertise to resolve complex data- and code-related issues in existing solutions.

• Provide support, including troubleshooting and enhancements for SQL Server environments, SSIS and Informatica ETL jobs, Access databases, .Net solutions, and various automations.

• Apply analytical skills with a high degree of precision and the capability to meet deadlines.

• Maintain strict attention to detail and a commitment to consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.

• Employ creativity to drive continuous improvement (process refinement, data modeling, data quality, etc.).

• Grasp business processes and their interdependencies.

• Demonstrate self-leadership and foster collaboration with IT and other members of analytical/technical teams.

• Communicate effectively through both formal and informal channels with team members, leadership, and other departments within HMH.

• Collaborate with fellow team members to enhance our culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Serve as a role model (in work ethic, business ethics, adherence to procedures, and care for the company, its employees, and its customers).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related discipline (Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience and/or certifications such as MSSD.

• At least 3 years of experience utilizing technology and automation to enhance processes and data quality.

• Proficient in relational databases (SQL Server).

• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for reporting and data visualization.

• Experience with ETL tools, particularly SSIS.

• Background in working with enterprise systems like ERP or CRM and integrating data from these systems.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to meet deadlines.

• Competent in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both clear and effective.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning capabilities.
