This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Join ABB as a Business Process Manager focused on SAP FICO within our Service division, acting as a strategic financial systems authority and a liaison between finance, operations, and IS/IT teams to facilitate transformational enhancements in cost accounting and controllership processes.
• You will have the freedom to pinpoint significant opportunities for financial process improvement, deploy innovative FICO solutions, and influence the future of our financial operations through SAP excellence and automation.
• Working remotely with regular on-site presence at Service plants (30-40% travel), you will deliver essential training, team support, and go-live assistance to guarantee effective adoption of financial systems and processes.
• Lead SAP FICO excellence initiatives across Service plants, enhancing FI/CO processes, cost accounting, product costing, and period-end close while ensuring robust integration with SD, PP, MM, and WM.
• Propel significant FICO enhancement initiatives and system implementations, addressing intricate financial/controlling challenges and providing best-practice, scalable solutions across plants.
• Deliver hands-on training, change leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to boost financial accuracy, automate processes, and elevate operational performance (30-40% travel).
• Collaborate with senior leadership on FICO strategy, data integrity, internal controls, and roadmap development while overseeing master data and aiding in month-end/year-end close optimization.
• Master's Degree with 8 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; OR Bachelor's degree with over 10 years of experience; OR High school diploma with 20 years of experience.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or SAP certification is preferred.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.
• Expert-level proficiency in SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) with at least 7-10 years of hands-on functional experience in configuration, implementation, and support.
• Deep knowledge of SAP CO (Controlling), including product costing, cost center accounting, internal orders, profitability analysis (CO-PA), and variance analysis.
• Strong expertise across SAP FI, MM, PP, SD, and WM, with practical ability to design and implement end-to-end solutions in each module.
• Comprehensive understanding of cross-functional business processes (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Plan-to-Produce, Inventory-to-Ledger) and the integration of financial, material, and production flows across modules.
• Demonstrated capability in financial accounting and controlling processes, including GL/AP/AR, asset accounting, material valuation, production costing, variance settlement, and period-end close.
• Proven experience leading mid-to-large scale FICO projects and managing organizational change within manufacturing or industrial service contexts.
• Strong project management abilities with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex financial and technical concepts to a diverse audience, including executives, controllers, plant managers, and end users.
• Willingness to travel 30-40% to ABB Service plants for on-site training, team support, workshops, go-live activities, and stakeholder meetings.
• Strong documentation capabilities to create clear process flows, training materials, and technical specifications.
• Candidates must already possess work authorization allowing them to work for ABB in the US.
