Business Process Consultant – ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage software licensing positions for enterprise publishers, including Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, and various other publishers and SaaS providers.

• Evaluate software entitlements, usage, and deployment data to pinpoint compliance risks and opportunities for optimization.

• Assist with software audits, true-ups, renewals, and vendor compliance activities.

• Examine and interpret software contracts, licensing agreements, and maintenance conditions.

• Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams during software renewals and negotiations.

• Keep precise software entitlement and contract repositories within ServiceNow.

• Use ServiceNow SAM Pro to oversee software lifecycle activities, including reconciliation, normalization, licensing, and compliance reporting.

• Aid in the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of ITAM and SAM processes within ServiceNow.

• Work with stakeholders to document both current and future business processes.

• Detect process inefficiencies and propose improvements that align with SAM and ITAM best practices.

• Support CMDB, asset management, and ITSM data quality initiatives.

• Create reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to software compliance, usage, and cost optimization.

• Engage in cross-functional initiatives that involve ITAM, SAM, procurement, finance, and operations teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management, software licensing, or related IT Asset Management roles.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, preferably within SAM Pro, HAM Pro, CMDB, or ITAM modules.

• Experience in managing software licensing for publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, and/or SaaS vendors.

• Knowledge of software licensing models, including subscription, user-based, device-based, cloud, and consumption licensing.

• Proficient in reviewing software contracts, licensing agreements, and maintenance terms.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience in gathering business requirements and assisting with process improvement initiatives.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

• Experience in Business Process Consulting (BPC), including process discovery, workshop facilitation, or business process documentation, is highly desirable.

• Previous experience supporting ServiceNow ITAM/SAM implementations, optimization initiatives, or software compliance audits and vendor true-ups is preferred.

• Familiarity with ITIL, IT Asset Management best practices, CMDB, asset lifecycle processes, and SaaS or cloud licensing models is a plus.

• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles and familiarity with procurement and finance processes related to software licensing is advantageous.
