This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee and manage hardware asset documentation for various enterprise asset categories, including end-user computing devices, mobile devices, peripherals, network equipment, and data center hardware.
• Monitor hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, encompassing request, procurement, receiving, deployment, transfer, refresh, return, and disposal.
• Collaborate with procurement, sourcing, and vendor management teams to facilitate purchasing, lease tracking, renewals, and adherence to hardware governance standards.
• Ensure accurate records of assets, stockroom inventory, and ownership within ServiceNow.
• Leverage ServiceNow HAM to oversee hardware lifecycle tasks, including asset intake, inventory management, refresh planning, reclamation, and disposal workflows.
• Assist in hardware asset reclamation by coordinating with end users and internal teams to ensure the return of unused hardware during device refresh cycles and employee separations, enabling redeployment or appropriate disposal.
• Evaluate hardware inventory, asset utilization, and lifecycle data to uncover control weaknesses, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Aid in physical inventory audits, reconciliation efforts, and exception management for missing, retired, or redeployed assets.
• Analyze and interpret vendor contracts, maintenance terms, lease schedules, and warranty details related to hardware assets.
• Assist in the configuration, upkeep, and continuous enhancement of ITAM and HAM processes within ServiceNow.
• Work with stakeholders to document existing and future business processes pertaining to hardware asset lifecycle management.
• Identify inefficiencies in processes and propose improvements in alignment with HAM, ITAM, and operational best practices.
• Contribute to CMDB, asset management, and ITSM data quality initiatives to enhance asset accuracy and service visibility.
• Create reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to hardware inventory, asset age, refresh cycles, recovery, and cost optimization.
• Engage in cross-functional initiatives involving ITAM, HAM, procurement, finance, operations, and end-user support teams.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Hardware Asset Management, IT Asset Management, inventory management, or other related asset lifecycle functions.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, preferably within the HAM, CMDB, or ITAM modules.
• Proven experience managing enterprise hardware assets throughout their entire lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, support, refresh, and disposal.
• Familiarity with hardware asset lifecycle procedures, such as receiving, stockroom operations, inventory control, assignment, reclamation, and retirement.
• Experience in reviewing hardware contracts, lease agreements, maintenance terms, and warranty documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in gathering business requirements and supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience in Business Process Consulting (BPC), including process discovery, workshop facilitation, or business process documentation, is highly desirable.
• Preferred experience in supporting or leading ServiceNow ITAM/HAM implementations, optimization projects, or inventory audit and reconciliation activities.
• Knowledge of ITIL, IT Asset Management best practices, CSDM, CMDB, and hardware lifecycle governance is advantageous.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles, along with familiarity with procurement and finance processes related to hardware asset management, is a plus.
• Familiarity and/or experience within the healthcare or life sciences sectors is a plus.
