This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive initiatives to design, innovate, and implement solutions aimed at enhancing systems and processes.
• Serve as an advocate for customers to comprehend business requirements and pinpoint opportunities for improvement and productivity.
• Exhibit critical thinking abilities to evaluate analytical needs and decide on the best course of action.
• Cultivate successful relationships across project teams and facilitate the development of optimal solutions.
• Employ performance improvement, project management, cost accounting, industrial engineering, and technical skills to collaborate with all levels of WVUHS management and medical staff.
• Engage in continuous learning of the current database structure and business intelligence tools to effectively communicate with customers and other application team members.
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the database structure and business intelligence tools to develop necessary analytical solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for data analytics and process enhancement.
• Conduct data analysis and develop queries, programs, and automation.
• Utilize analytical methods to ensure that reported data is meaningful and accurate.
• Showcase technical proficiency in data analytics using various systems and tools, including Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP products.
• Attend courses in performance improvement activities, system design, technical training, statistical analysis, and other related subjects.
• Lead the gathering of data requirements for problem identification, resolution, and solution design.
• Provide analytical insights derived from data to inform strategic business decisions.
• Coordinate projects by identifying the need for cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
• Review, identify, and document any issues, barriers, or risks, and report them to management.
• Provide Project/Task Coordination Services to customers as assigned.
• Manage workload while balancing quality of work with deadlines to meet user expectations and project objectives.
• Set expectations and engage management to discuss and resolve any potential changes to project scope, expected deliverables, etc.
• Implement changes in compliance with the change control policy and procedures for the project to deliver a successful solution to the customer.
• Communicate the nature, significance, and risk factors of corresponding projects to all parties involved.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews of projects.
• Gather customer requirements to understand business needs and convert them into actionable solutions.
• Engage in team-building by participating in training and professional development sessions.
• Provide assistance and support to colleagues.
• Contribute to fostering a positive team spirit and cohesiveness.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities.
• Act proactively and cooperatively in group problem-solving situations.
• Involve peers and employees in enhancing the quality of work.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or Hospital Administration, OR 4 years of data analytics experience required.
• This position necessitates an EPIC official designation of “Proficient” within the new hire probationary period.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with relational database structures, including design, testing, troubleshooting, and/or training.
• At least 1 year of experience in data analysis and/or a background in healthcare planning.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
• Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL/Oracle) and/or Business Objects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, OR 4 years of data analytics experience required.
• This position requires an EPIC official designation of “Proficient” within the new hire probationary period.
• At least 2 years of experience with relational database structures, including design, testing, troubleshooting, and/or training required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis and/or a background in healthcare planning.
• At least 2 years of experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
• Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL/Oracle) and/or Business Objects.
• Internal employees must meet all mandatory competencies in their current position to qualify for promotion within IT.
• Familiarity with applications to be supported is preferred.
