Business Intelligence Report Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, implement, and maintain reports and dashboards utilizing SSRS and Power BI.

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical reporting specifications.

• Enhance SQL queries and data sources to guarantee high-performance reports and dashboards.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to determine reporting needs and deliver data-driven insights.

• Sustain and enhance current reports and reporting frameworks, ensuring precision and consistency.

• Generate documentation for data models, report logic, and technical specifications.

• Perform unit testing and peer reviews to ensure report quality assurance.

• Assist in data validation and reconciliation activities.

• Remain updated on BI tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

• Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 2–5 years of practical experience with SSRS and Power BI in enterprise settings.

• Proficient SQL skills and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+).

• Experience in creating paginated reports and dashboards based on intricate data models.

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

• Experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or supply chain is advantageous.

• Knowledge of GIT, SQL Server performance optimization, or analytics languages (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.

• Bilingual skills are an asset (fluent in both Spanish and English).

• Must be legally authorized to work for the company at all times.

• Valid passport and willingness to occasionally travel if required to other office locations in CAD/USA/MEX.
