This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee a small to medium-sized team dedicated to providing data-driven insights and reporting solutions.
• Your team will play a crucial role in enhancing data literacy and advocating for data requirements early in the process.
• Emphasize the facilitation of Self Service through semantic layers.
• Ensure data-informed decision-making and actionable insights through the creation of enterprise dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with PMO, Product, Stakeholders, and Engineering to ensure data initiatives align with business objectives.
• Promote the adoption of AI and advanced analytics techniques.
• Maintain a prioritized task backlog and ensure clarity and organization within data pipelines.
• Partner with infrastructure and data engineering teams to optimize the performance of Business Intelligence tools.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of data sources, business processes, and reporting requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 - 8 years of experience leading BI or analytics teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven track record using BI solutions to enhance business outcomes.
• Experience overseeing requirements gathering, prototyping, user acceptance testing, and the deployment of BI projects.
• Basic knowledge of data warehousing and web technologies.
• Preferred: Familiarity with BI lifecycle and governance frameworks.
• Proficient in Power BI, with expertise in creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that facilitate business decisions.
• Skilled in Databricks for data engineering, analytics, and scalable data processing.
• Project management experience; PMP certification is advantageous.
• Experience in writing SQL queries and analyzing data patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud-based BI platforms and data services.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while clearly communicating complex data concepts.
• Proven ability to lead with insights and make strategic recommendations.
• Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently with moderate supervision.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to engage with abstract concepts.
