This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Act as the primary operator for Avicado's GCP data environment, including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, and Cloud Storage, collaborating closely with IT on access, security, and provisioning.
• Develop and maintain Python-based ETL scripts to extract data from source platforms and load it into BigQuery.
• Expand the pipeline portfolio by integrating new data sources.
• Automate repetitive operational workflows that are currently executed manually or locally.
• Adhere to best practices for version control using GitHub, ensuring that infrastructure changes are properly tracked, reviewed, and documented.
• Take ownership of Avicado's dashboard portfolio for all internal teams.
• Convert business logic from stakeholders into reliable, well-constructed dashboards that are actively utilized.
• Create new dashboards for user groups lacking reliable reporting solutions.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of each dashboard, including data source connections, SQL queries, refresh schedules, quality control, documentation, and troubleshooting when issues arise.
• Ensure data integrity within the analytics layer.
• Uphold naming conventions, dataset organization, and schema documentation within BigQuery.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify reporting requirements across all internal teams and translate these into effective solutions.
• Serve as the first point of contact when a dashboard malfunctions or a pipeline encounters issues.
• Over 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, and Cloud Storage.
• Proficient in Python development with a focus on building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Strong SQL capabilities with experience in cloud data warehouses.
• Extensive experience in designing and creating Tableau dashboards from scratch.
• Experience in managing production reporting environments and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor, or similar coding assistants.
