This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Assist in the upkeep and enhancement of interactive reporting tools utilizing Tableau.
• Assess and leverage additional business intelligence platforms, including Amazon QuickSight and Power BI.
• Examine marketing strategies and program effectiveness through reporting mechanisms and ad hoc data analysis.
• Create and design data visualizations to convey insights and guide strategic decisions.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data results.
• Collect feedback from both internal and external users to enhance reporting tools and overall user experience.
• Convert business intelligence requirements into technical and logical specifications.
• Oversee and refine components of the codebase for BI data activation processes.
• Utilize SQL and related tools for reporting, data validation, and ensuring data accessibility.
• Implement practices for data orchestration, governance, and metadata management.
• Spot opportunities to automate manual or repetitive tasks.
• Provide support to internal teams and external clients in accessing data and information.
• Keep documentation and training materials current and comprehensive.
• Offer timely support on data-access platforms.
• Enhance the clarity, usability, and consistency of business intelligence resources.
• 0–2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data reporting, data operations, or a similar field.
• Some familiarity with SQL and a desire to develop greater skills with relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or equivalent platforms.
• Interest in data orchestration, data governance, metadata management, ETL/ELT concepts, or data warehouse methodologies.
• Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• High attention to detail, consistency, accuracy, and quality of work.
• A sense of curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn new data and business intelligence tools, platforms, and models.
• Preferred: experience within nonprofit sectors, nonprofit fundraising, public media, marketing initiatives, or mission-driven organizations.
• Preferred: familiarity with Python, R, or another scripting or data analytics language.
• Preferred: experience with data warehouse design, code development and version control, ETL/ELT concepts, or related fields.
• Preferred: interest in predictive modeling, campaign analytics, fundraising analytics, or marketing performance reporting.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
