This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As a key member of the Analytics Team, the Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with and support essential operational teams (such as Finance, Risk Adjustment, Quality, and Care Management), as well as market analytics and leadership teams, to convert intricate healthcare data into actionable tools and insights.

• Conduct thorough and ad-hoc analyses that enhance operational efficiencies and inform strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with crucial business teams, including Finance, IT, and Clinical Operations.

• Assist in preparing presentations for partners by utilizing analytics tools and market-specific knowledge to translate data into actionable insights.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of Honest Health’s data assets and analytics product offerings in relation to strategic decision-making, problem-solving, and the generation of actionable insights.

• Act as the primary analytics partner for designated discipline(s), translating business needs and opportunities into data-driven insights and actionable decision support tools.

• Conduct moderately complex analyses and aid in the creation of standard dashboards, recurring reports, and data tools under the guidance of Senior and Lead Analysts.

• Integrate and analyze data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), health information exchanges (HIEs), and claims data located in Honest’s enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and/or other population health platforms.

• Utilize advanced SQL skills to extract and analyze large, complex datasets, transforming them into informative deliverables, insights, tools, and presentations that clearly communicate trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Identify relationships within data sets, determine key fields, and independently recommend actionable insights.

• Respond to routine and moderately complex ad hoc data requests accurately and promptly, escalating more complex requests as necessary.

• Document logic, methodology, data definitions, and workflows to ensure outputs are easily reviewed, audited, and reused by team members.

• Provide timely and accurate responses to ad hoc requests while proactively identifying root causes, trends, and optimization opportunities.

• Act as a strategic partner by establishing and maintaining strong relationships within the Analytics team and with stakeholders across the organization—from individual contributors to executive leadership.

• Leverage strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to generate impactful insights through the adoption of new data visualization, advanced business intelligence, and emerging AI-driven tools.

• Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of data and its interpretation to support informed decision-making.

• Demonstrate exceptional reliability and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and be accountable for timely updates and delivery.

• Engage in data quality initiatives, aiding in the identification and resolution of data issues.

• Perform additional related responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Healthcare, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics is required, including proficiency with large, complex datasets.

• Experience in healthcare analytics and a solid understanding of healthcare data and operational workflows is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with value-based care models is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong SQL skills, preferably in a Snowflake or similar cloud computing environment.

• Experience with data visualization tools is desired, preferably Tableau.

• Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SAS) is desired.

• Understanding of AI, Machine Learning, and/or NLP applications in a healthcare context.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and levels within an organization.

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for understanding processes to convey the bigger picture.

• Proven capability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.

• Strong strategic, analytical, and creative skills with a history of addressing and resolving complex challenges.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and distill complexity into clear, actionable structures.

• Competent in working independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
