This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design and implement business intelligence solutions, which include creating Power BI dashboards specifically for NASA clientele.
• Develop features that permit users to modify data or include additional variables in current datasets.
• Create dynamic Power BI report components that allow users to input and adjust data.
• Promote automation of tools to enhance processes and reduce manual tasks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders utilizing Visual Analytics Tools, SQL, Smartsheet, Advanced Excel, SharePoint, and Visio to automate business operations and enhance efficiency.
• Maintain data quality and ensure the integrity of reporting data.
• Coordinate with database stakeholders to optimize efficiencies.
• Work across various databases and systems for data identification and reporting purposes.
• Carry out other related duties as necessary.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the industry or a related domain.
• Proficient in financial modeling and converting business needs into analytical models for budgeting, planning, and strategic decision-making.
• Strong organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Problem-solving skills that lead to actionable solutions.
• A collaborative, team-focused mindset.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Power BI and Paginated Reports.
• At least 3 years of advanced proficiency with MS Excel, including VBA, Power Query, and Named Tables.
• Submission of samples of previously created PBIX files is required.
• Moderate to advanced skills in DAX and Power Query (M language).
• Capability to develop complex measures, optimize data models, and create efficient ETL processes within Power BI.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with MS SQL and optimized queries for large data volumes.
• At least 1 year of experience in MS SSRS report development and maintenance.
• A typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency may be required.
• Must be able to undergo a U.S. government background investigation.
• Consistent attendance as per the established work schedule is expected.
