Business Insights Analyst

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that track vital business metrics such as sales performance, customer trends, inventory management, operational efficiency, and financial key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Oversee the entire reporting lifecycle, encompassing requirements gathering, data modeling, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Ensure that all reports are accurate, scalable, and consistent with established business KPIs.

• Manage scheduled data refreshes, version control, and enhancements as reporting requirements evolve.

• Develop and oversee scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, which includes Lakehouses, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, and Warehouses.

• Create semantic layers and optimized data models that facilitate self-service analytics.

• Maintain data quality, governance, and consistency across all enterprise data assets.

• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to enhance architectural and integration standards.

• Integrate and analyze data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM to gain insights into customer activities, account performance, and sales pipelines.

• Extract insights from ERP systems related to purchasing, inventory, pricing, and customer behavior data.

• Ensure that CRM and ERP platforms deliver a unified and accurate overview of the business.

• Go beyond traditional reporting by proactively identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for performance improvement.

• Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly insights to senior stakeholders.

• Identify emerging business risks and opportunities before they escalate.

• Assist in strategic planning through forecasting, trend analysis, and scenario modeling.

• Work closely with leadership, sales, finance, and operational teams throughout European markets.

• Act as a trusted advisor by converting complex datasets into high-level executive recommendations.

• Promote data literacy by providing documentation, reporting guidance, and enabling stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling and administration of Power BI Service.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows, Warehouses).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience in querying relational databases.

• Proven track record of transforming complex analyses into executive-ready business insights.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience supporting operations across European or multiple countries.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, or Synapse.

• Experience in predictive analytics or forecasting models.

• Background in manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution sectors.

• Exposure to Power Automate and workflow automation.
