Business Immigration Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Carefully prepare cases, legal strategies, and correspondence letters.

• Cultivate an expert-level understanding of client cases, including both immigrant and non-immigrant petitions for EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs.

• Oversee projects and deadlines, and draft and modify documents as necessary.

• Clearly explain legal terminology to clients in a timely manner.

• Investigate unique legal issues utilizing relevant statutes and judicial rulings.

• Keep abreast of legislative changes that impact immigration.

• Create solutions for intricate legal inquiries.

• Educate client companies and individuals on significant legal topics and amendments in immigration laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, resolve client issues, and assist with client projects.

• Interact with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case-processing matters as well as case strategy.

• Evaluate corporate foreign national employees' qualifications for non-immigrant and immigrant U.S. visa statuses.

• Collaborate with global mobility teams and the office of general counsel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to the Department of Labor and USCIS.

• Manage paralegal staff in maintaining records and document preparation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an accredited U.S. law school.

• Be a member of a U.S. state bar in good standing.

• 1-2 years of experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs is advantageous.

• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and the capacity to effectively multitask in a dynamic, high-volume law firm environment.

• Flexibility and eagerness to learn across multiple practice areas.

• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and time management capabilities.

• Ability to work independently on daily tasks, taking initiative with minimal supervision.
