Business Immigration Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Prepare legal cases, strategies, and cover letters with diligence.

• Cultivate an expert-level comprehension of client cases.

• Create petitions for immigrant and non-immigrant statuses, possessing in-depth knowledge of application processes and requirements, specifically in EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs.

• Oversee project management and deadlines, while preparing and revising necessary documents.

• Clearly explain legal terms to clients in a concise and timely manner.

• Investigate unique legal issues by pinpointing applicable statutes and judicial rulings.

• Keep informed on legislative changes that impact immigration.

• Formulate solutions to intricate legal inquiries.

• Educate client companies and individuals on substantive legal topics and updates in immigration law and regulations.

• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, address client concerns, and support client initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural matters, case-processing issues, and case strategies.

• Evaluate the eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa statuses in the U.S.

• Work alongside global mobility personnel and the office of general counsel.

• Prepare petitions and applications for submission to the Department of Labor (DOL) and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

• Supervise the work of paralegal staff in record-keeping and document preparation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school, demonstrating a solid academic record, and be in good standing with a U.S. state bar.

• Experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs is advantageous.

• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

• Possess high-level organizational skills.

• Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong time management skills and attention to detail, with the capability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.

• Show adaptability and a willingness to learn across different practice areas.

• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management capabilities.

• Ability to work independently on daily tasks, proactively, and with minimal supervision.
