
Business Development Manager – Government Vertical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Spearhead business development and sales initiatives focused on Government and PSU accounts.
• Identify and foster opportunities within Central Government, State Government, Defense, Railways, Smart City projects, and related sectors.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with key decision-makers, System Integrators, consultants, and OEM partners.
• Develop strategic account plans and execute market penetration strategies.
• Manage the complete sales lifecycle, including lead generation, proposal formulation, tender participation, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Work in collaboration with technical, presales, and delivery teams to design solutions and prepare bid submissions.
• Track government tenders via GeM, CPPP, and other procurement platforms.
• Ensure compliance with government procurement regulations and tender specifications.
• Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• Promptly follow up on customer collections and payments.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasting and produce regular reports.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Government or PSU Sales.
• Comprehensive understanding of Government procurement procedures and tendering processes.
• Demonstrated experience working with System Integrators, OEMs, and Channel Partners.
• Familiarity with IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Networking, Surveillance, Data Center, or Managed Services solutions is preferred.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple accounts.
• Existing relationships within Government departments and PSUs will be an advantage.
