This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acquire a comprehensive technical understanding of designated products (within the SBD/DEWALT brands), including their applications in construction and compliance with current building regulations.
• Build relationships with key Owners/design teams in SBD focus verticals across the US and foster robust Client Owner Relations.
• Persuade designers, architects, and engineers to incorporate fasteners into their corporate standards through regular visits, educational initiatives, and technical communication that highlight the advantages of DEWALT solutions with code-approved products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering, marketing) to provide tailored solutions that meet complex needs of owners and end-users while offering expert advice on product selection and usage.
• Conduct regular technical presentations and training seminars for design professionals regarding the design features of SBD/DEWALT products, focusing on testing details, product performance, strength design calculations, applications, and code requirements.
• Leverage technical expertise in products to support and enhance sales through specification and conversion, working alongside local field engineers and sales teams, while providing technical support on job sites as necessary.
• Assist in specifying proprietary anchor solutions for clients and relay customer feedback to product managers for future product enhancements.
• Ensure that designs and submissions created by contractors receive approval from architects, engineers, and owners.
• Represent DEWALT at industry events, trade shows, and important meetings, establishing the company as a reliable partner for national accounts.
• Develop and uphold client records in the CRM tool.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is preferred; Engineer in Training (EIT) is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical sales role is mandatory.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities, organizing, planning, and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills are necessary.
• Proficient in computer applications including Bluebeam, Procore, and MS Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Salesforce.com is advantageous.
• Outstanding presentation skills in front of large audiences.
• High energy, outgoing, and goal-driven with a desire to meet and exceed objectives and targets.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage one’s own schedule and work effectively in a "home-based" setting.
• Experience in Structural Engineering Design and construction job site is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time within the designated territory.
