
Business Development Manager β Controls & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ Take charge of and drive pipeline growth throughout the Western U.S.
β’ Identify and connect with target customers, general contractors, and end users in essential markets.
β’ Create and implement territory and account strategies.
β’ Actively engage with customers prior to the RFP stage.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders in engineering, operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
β’ Maintain disciplined management of the pipeline using CRM tools.
β’ Represent SSI within the market through participation in industry events, site visits, and strategic engagement with customers.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or technical sales within industrial automation, electrical systems, or system integration.
β’ At least 5 years of direct technical or hands-on experience in the controls and automation sector.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, industrial technology, electronics technology, or a closely related technical field.
β’ Proven track record of building a pipeline from a low or zero baseline in new or underdeveloped regions.
β’ Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities early, influence specifications, and enhance hit rates.
β’ Solid understanding of PLCs and automation systems.
β’ Hands-on experience with major automation platforms.
